Whether you're volunteering, partnering as an organization, or hosting a Serve Site, here's everything you need to know about getting involved with Love Has No Limits.
General
Email us at go@lovehasnolimits.com. We're happy to help with questions about submitting a Serve Event, managing volunteers, changing event details, or reporting your impact.
Yes. Networks, denominations and multi-location organizations can activate their affiliates, campuses or locations together. Networks receive a custom landing page, ready-made rollout messaging, and a network-level summary of their combined impact.
It doesn't have to be. A Serve Event is often a starting point. Many partners use it to build relationships with schools, nonprofits and neighborhoods that continue long after the event.
Each host submits a short impact form covering volunteers, people served, value donated, and stories or photos from the day. You'll receive shareable reporting and access to information on every volunteer who registered for your event.
Give yourself a few months. That allows time to complete the partner form, plan your event, submit your Serve Event details, and recruit volunteers. Your event goes live for volunteer registration once it's submitted.
Your organization owns and operates its outreach. That includes event design, logistics, volunteer recruitment, partnerships, permissions, and on-site leadership. We provide the structure, tools and encouragement to help you do it well.
You are not doing this alone. Partners receive:
- An event and volunteer management platform, including volunteer registration
- Step-by-step guides for distributions, serving schools, serving with nonprofits, and caring for volunteers
- Marketing tools with sample social posts, flyer text, email templates, a volunteer QR code and an outreach tracking sheet
- Simple impact reporting
- Ongoing support from our team
Fill out the partner form on our website to tell us about your organization and how you'd like to serve. From there, you'll submit your Serve Event details, host your event, and share your impact afterward.
It depends on the Serve Event. Some events require volunteers to be 13 or older, and others 18 or older. Each event lists its own requirements. We don't recommend volunteers younger than 10.
Organizations of every size can host a Serve Event, whether they serve dozens of families or thousands. Anyone with a few hours to give can volunteer.
A Serve Site is the location where a Serve Event happens. It could be a church, school, park, shelter, community center or neighborhood block, anywhere neighbors can come together to serve.
A Serve Event is a service project of at least two hours. It's hosted by a church, nonprofit, school, business or community organization. Each one gives volunteers a hands-on way to make a difference, like packing goods for families, beautifying a school, hosting a community festival, or raising awareness for a cause.
Nonprofits
We hope it does. Many nonprofits use a Serve Event to start ongoing relationships with volunteers and partner organizations. That can grow into annual partnerships, monthly service days, shared drives or capacity-building support.
A short impact form covering volunteers mobilized, hours served, families supported, pounds or items distributed, and program outcomes. Photos and stories are welcome.
Dignity is central to every Serve Event. For distributions, we recommend a shopping-style setup where families choose what they need. Volunteers are coached to greet guests warmly, serve with care, and take photos or gather stories only with permission.
Yes. You can set a minimum age, such as 13+ or 18+, and describe the roles you need filled. This helps you protect the people you serve and place volunteers where they fit best.
Once your Serve Event is submitted, it's listed on our website for volunteer registration. You'll also get marketing tools, including sample posts, flyer text, email templates and a volunteer QR code, to recruit from your own community.
Your organization does. You lead on-site management, volunteer oversight, the guest experience and operations. We provide the guides, platform and support to help it run smoothly.
We encourage churches and community groups to partner with local nonprofits and to follow your lead. You set the priorities, roles and expectations. Together you agree on how they'll serve, how you'll communicate, and what impact you're aiming for. Their volunteers serve alongside your staff and follow your guidance.
Most nonprofits choose one or more of these:
- Volunteer serve day: Volunteers sort donations, pack hygiene kits, assemble food boxes, organize storage, or support a program.
- Distribution event: Provide food, clothing, hygiene items or school supplies through a walk-up, station-based or shopping-style setup.
- Support for an existing program: Volunteers help with mentorship sessions, meal service, administrative or event support, advocacy projects, or weekly program staffing.
- Community event or festival: A family event, block party or resource fair with games, music, meals and resource booths.
- Long-term partnership: Use your event to launch ongoing volunteer pipelines, monthly service or seasonal drives.
No. Many nonprofits build a Serve Event around programs they already run. You aren't being asked to do more. A Serve Event is a clear way to bring more people into what you're already doing.
A Serve Event brings new volunteers, new partners and new visibility to the work you already do. Afterward, you'll have shareable impact reporting and information on every volunteer who registered, so you can keep those relationships going.
Churches
After the event, submit a short impact form with your volunteers, families served, outcomes, stories and photos. You'll receive shareable reporting to celebrate with your congregation.
Yes. Networks and multi-campus churches can activate every location at once. You'll receive a custom landing page, ready-made messaging for your campuses or affiliates, and a network-level summary of your combined impact.
Send key details three to five days ahead and a reminder 24 hours before. On the day, open with a short 5–10 minute rally, give every team a clear role and leader, and thank volunteers before they leave. Our volunteer experience guide covers each step.
Your church does. You lead the planning, volunteer teams and on-site experience. We provide the structure, tools, guides and support so your team can lead with confidence.
Yes. Once your Serve Event is submitted, it's listed on our website so anyone in your community can register. It's a natural way to welcome neighbors who may never have walked through your doors.
Lead with listening. Reach out to a principal, counselor or nonprofit director, explain that your church would like to serve, and ask, "How can we help?" Let them guide the direction. Our guides for serving schools and nonprofits walk you through every step.
No, and we encourage you to go beyond it. Consider taking one intentional step forward: serve in a new location like a school, park, shelter or neighborhood block; collaborate with a new partner; or engage a community your church hasn't reached before.
Common church Serve Events include:
- Serving a local school: Campus beautification, a family festival, teacher and staff support, or a food and supply distribution
- Serving with a local nonprofit: Volunteering in a program they already run, or co-hosting a distribution or resource fair
- Distribution events: Food, hygiene kits, clothing or household items offered with dignity
- Community events: Block parties and family festivals with meals, games and resource booths
Yes. We walk you through four stages: explore and dream, plan and prepare, activate and serve, and celebrate and strengthen. Our step-by-step guides give you proven models for each stage, whether you're serving dozens of families or thousands.
Churches are at the heart of serving their communities. Your church can host its own Serve Event, partner with a local school or nonprofit, and mobilize your congregation and neighbors to serve. Start by filling out the partner form on our website.
Businesses
Your business leads its own Serve Event, including logistics, volunteer teams and the day-of experience. We provide the structure, tools and support. If you join another organization's event, they lead and your team serves alongside them.
The event itself is at least two hours. Plan to start a few months ahead so there's time to submit your partner form and event details and to recruit volunteers. We provide the platform, guides and marketing tools to keep the lift light.
Your employees and customers get a meaningful way to show up for their neighbors. Partners are celebrated in the stories we share after each event, and you'll receive shareable impact reporting.
Yes. Multi-location businesses and franchise networks can activate every location together. You'll receive a custom landing page, ready-made rollout messaging, and a network-level summary of your combined reach.

Start with your community's needs, such as hunger, education, senior support or homelessness. Then look for a local nonprofit or school already doing strong work in that area and ask how you can help. Our guides walk you through building that partnership.
Yes. A Serve Event of two hours or more fits easily into a team day. Your employees can register for your event, and attendance is tracked so you can see your team's impact.

- Partner with a local organization: Bring your volunteers to a school, nonprofit or church already hosting an event.

Yes. Businesses can host their own Serve Events, team up with a local church, school or nonprofit, or supply the goods that make community events possible. Local businesses are some of the most important partners in every community.
Serve Sites

Please let your Serve Site host know as soon as you can, using the contact details in your confirmation. That helps them plan for the right number of volunteers.
Yes. Many Serve Sites offer free resources for families, such as food, hygiene items, clothing or school supplies. Check the listings for distribution events and community resource fairs near you.
Roles vary by site but often include parking, welcome and check-in, distribution or service, family support and hospitality, and clean-up. No special skills are needed; your team leader will show you what to do.
You'll be greeted, checked in and pointed to a place to drop your bags. A short 5–10 minute rally covers why we're serving, how the day will flow, and safety reminders. Then you'll join a team with a clear role and a team leader.
Three to five days before, your host will send the date and time, parking instructions, where to check in, a brief overview of your role, what to wear and bring, and who to contact with questions. You'll get a reminder 24 hours before.
It depends on the Serve Site. Some events welcome families, while others require volunteers to be 13+ or 18+. Check the listing before you register. We don't recommend volunteers younger than 10.
